2025 Faithbrook Board Elections

Dear Faithbrook Partners,

We are coming to the end of the church’s fiscal year. There is much to be thankful for as we continue to grow and see people taking steps of faith in Christ and engaging in the mission of our church.

As a Church of the Nazarene, Faithbrook’s bylaws call us to be guided by a board of seven elected lay partners. These Board members are elected to hold a two-year position with a limit of four consecutive years on the board. Board members are the guardians of the church’s mission, vision, and resources. They also oversee the Lead Pastor and are expected to be models of Christ and of our church values.

To be nominated, partners need to model our church’s values and be fully engaged. Nominees must be in a LifeGroup, on a volunteer team, giving at the tithing level, and exhibiting spiritual growth and maturity in their lives. It is also preferable to have some experience with organizational leadership.

This year, three seats out of seven are up for election. Our desire is to have continuity but at the same time to give opportunity for some rotation. Note: the four members remaining on the board this year are Chris Burros, Josh Friesen, Karina Swanson, and Jacquie Hawkinson.

Below is a link to a bio sheet for all the nominees up for election. A paper ballot will be available to you on Sunday’s May 11 and 18 at the designated voting table down. You will vote for three board members and you will also vote for two District Assembly delegates and two Missions convention delegates. Our election judges this year will be Bec LaZerte, Nancy Ramsey, and Ann Fickle.

Thank you for your partnership, trust, and support in God’s vision for Faithbrook: to be a healthy, vibrant, spirit-guided church impacting our community and our world.

Sincerely,
Pastor Jim Comfort & the Faithbrook Board
